To my friends in southwest Springfield, Battlefield, Republic and Ash Grove.,
As my service as your State Representative comes to a close, I want to pause to thank you for the privilege of serving you these past 8 years.
However, as I seek to serve the citizens of Greene County as Presiding Commissioner I am deeply concerned. The next session in Jefferson City will be one of tough decisions. One in which our elected officials must not only deal with todays challenges but, must also lay the groundwork for tomorrows' success.
As the campaign season began and many expressed interest in taking the mantle of State Representative of the 134th, one began to quickly separate himself from the others. If you went to Pumpkin Daze, Fall Fest, parades, fireworks the Senior Center and any other place where people would gather in the district you would likely see him there. He listened to us and shared his ideas for job growth, education, small government and many others that represent who we are in Southwest Missouri.
I don't give respect easily but it quickly became apparent that the next conservative leader we need in Jefferson City is Thomas Long. He knows what a budget is. As a fleet manager at Prime Transportation he is on the front lines of helping to create jobs and prosperity in our area and indeed in our state. He and his wife Patty have served our community as foster parents. He respects the constitution and the rule of law. Thomas is involved in his church. We need men and women like this to serve us in all areas of government.
I am proud to endorse Thomas Long as the next Representative for District 134. On August 3rd I will be casting my vote for him and hope that you will join me in electing Thomas Long.
Sincerely,
Jim Viebrock
