Thomas Long for 130 District State Representative
Biography
Thomas was born March 21, 1968 in Cleveland TN (30 miles north of Chattanooga in south east TN). After graduating high school at Bradley Central, Thomas attended Wayland Baptist University in Plainview TX and the Atlanta campus of Mercer University concentrating his studies in political science and philosophy before entering the work force .

A job transfer moved Thomas to Springfield MO in July of 1990. On the way to visit Branson MO he saw High Street Baptist Church on the outer road of 65 bypass and determined he would attend the Sunday services there. That first Sunday in town he met a home town girl by the name of Patricia Shaw and 1 year and 10 months later she became his bride.

Thomas and Patty have been married 19 years. They have lived in Battlefield MO the past 11 years where they attend Graceway Baptist Church.  Thomas and Patty have also served the community as foster parents. They have one son Addison, who is 9, and a 17 year old daughter, Kaitlyn.

After several years in the restaurant business Thomas settled into a career in transportation. His career has spanned dock management and sales with Roadway Express, to logistics (Mihlfeld and Associates)and then into fleet management with Prime Incorporated  where he has been the last 9 years. He stills works for Prime on the weekends and between sessions.

Patty is a graduate of Missouri State University where she graduated with a degree in fine arts. She is a graphic designer for The Assembly of God headquarters where she has been employed for 10 years.
